The World Federation of Jewish Survivors of the Holocaust and Descendants (WFJCSH&D) will hold a 33rd Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., August 25-28, 2023, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. The Kindertransport Association will join the conference once again as will members of Generations of the Shoah International (GSI).
In three days, a remarkable community of Holocaust Survivors and Descendants is created.
The conference begins Friday afternoon, August 25 with an informal get together. Friday night Shabbat services are followed by a festive dinner. After dinner there is a gathering for all generations of the Kindertransport. Saturday and Sunday are full days of speakers, workshops, and panels.
After dinner on Saturday, there will be music and dancing until the wee hours. Sunday evening includes a commemorative service, then dinner followed by dancing. The conference concludes Monday at 11 am after a panel discussion and closing ceremony. Optional add-on post conference trips to local sights may be planned.
