Memories that Won’t Go Away tells the story of the 10,000 children who traveled alone from Germany, Austria, Poland, and Czechoslovakia to Great Britain on the Kindertransport. This book looks at hundreds of these children, focusing on their experiences as strangers in a strange land and their gratitude to a nation for rescuing them from near certain death in the hands of the Nazis. Michele Gold grew up in London. Her mother was a Kindertransport survivor.
