DESCRIPTION:The KTA is delighted to welcome Dr. Irit Felsen to speak wi
 th us. Irit Felsen\, Ph.D.\, is a clinical psychologist specializing in tr
 auma and traumatic loss\, with a special focus on Holocaust survivors and 
 their families. She is the daughter of two Holocaust survivors. She will b
 e speaking to us about intergenerational transmission of historical trauma
 .\n\nIrit Felsen was born in Israel and is currently living in NY. She spe
 cializes in the treatment of trauma and traumatic loss. Her clinical work
  has focused on Holocaust Survivors and their descendants\, and her resear
 ch on intergenerational transmission has been published in peer-reviewed j
 ournals and book chapters. She taught for 14 years at Ferkauf Graduate Sch
 ool of Psychology and is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in NY
 C\, Chair of the Trauma Work Group at the NGO Committee on Mental Health i
 n Consultative Relationship to the United Nations\, and Chair of the Older
  Adults Work Group within the Covid-19 APA Interdisciplinary Task Force.\n
