Last Train to Tomorrow

NOVEMBER 9, 2014 3PM

The Last Train To Tomorrow tells the extraordinary story of the Kindertransport through a sequence of songs composed and conducted by the internationally acclaimed artist Carl Davis CBE and written by the celebrated children’s author Hiawyn Oram. Introduced by Natasha Kaplinsky.

The event is organized by the Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR) and takes place in London.

“Kindertransport 75” special train

SEPTEMBER 4, 2014 10AM - 6PM

A special train will run to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the kindertransports, to celebrate the lives of those saved and commemorate the loss of the lives of those unable to be saved. The train will depart from platform 10 at London Liverpool Street at 10:37 on Thursday 4 September 2014 & arrive at Harwich Parkeston Quay at 11:51. There will be a break of 4 hours in Harwich with local events planned. The train will return to London Liverpool Street at 17:44.

World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust and Descendents Conference

JUSTICE, RESPECT and PEACE
For the first time The World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust & Descendants (WFJCSHD) will hold its conference for Child Survivors of the Holocaust + 2nd and 3rd generations in the German capital BERLIN.

The gathering will take place from Sunday 24 – Wednesday 27 August 2014 and will be in the Berlin Hilton Hotel in the center of the city.

Registration fee will be € 275.00 per person.

Special conference room rate is € 126.00 + tax.

The Pianist of Willesden Lane

The Pianist of Willesden Lane is performer Mona Golabek's true family story; a story of the Kindertransport,music, family, and hope.

The Pianist of Willesden Lane makes its New York premiere after critically acclaimed, sold out runs in Chicago, Boston, Berkeley, and Los Angeles.

KTA members are invited to a special matinee performance on Sunday July 27. An invitation will be sent in June.

Lindenbaum Bicycle Odyssey - Returning After 76 Years

JUNE 16, 2014 to JULY 1, 2014

This is a story which started 76 years ago when the Nazis kicked my family out of our home in Unna. My brother Siegfried and I were refugee children who survived while my parents and sister did not. Today, I am retracing the story back to my home town with my wife, three children, their spouses, and my grandchildren.
