“Kindertransport 75” special train
SEPTEMBER 4, 2014 10AM - 6PM
A special train will run to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the kindertransports, to celebrate the lives of those saved and commemorate the loss of the lives of those unable to be saved. The train will depart from platform 10 at London Liverpool Street at 10:37 on Thursday 4 September 2014 & arrive at Harwich Parkeston Quay at 11:51. There will be a break of 4 hours in Harwich with local events planned. The train will return to London Liverpool Street at 17:44.

JUSTICE, RESPECT and PEACEFor the first time The World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust & Descendants (WFJCSHD) will hold its conference for Child Survivors of the Holocaust + 2nd and 3rd generations in the German capital BERLIN. The gathering will take place from Sunday 24 – Wednesday 27 August 2014 and will be in the Berlin Hilton Hotel in the center of the city.Registration fee will be € 275.00 per person.Special conference room rate is € 126.00 + tax.

The Vienna project

The Vienna Project is a new social action memorial project taking place on the streets of Vienna and along the Danube Canal. The Vienna project opened on 23 October 2013 and will conclude May 8 2014 with a closing ceremony at the Austrian National Library at the Hofburg Palace with artist Nikolaus Gansterer and author Doron Rabinovici.There are many events: a guided Tour of a Day in the Life: Pre-War Jewish Communities of Vienna, a banner installation, of interest.
Vienna's Lost Daughters Screening in New York City

This 2007 Austrian documentary focuses on eight Vienna-born Holocaust survivors who came to New York by way of the "Kindertransporte". For many of these women, Vienna is still their emotional dwelling place, a city that holds both fond memories but also haunting images of the violent separation from their loved ones seventy years ago.This screening is followed by a talk with the film's director Miriam Unger and some of its protagonists.
