Kindersang- Songs from the poetry of a Kindertransport survivor
APRIL 6, 2020 6PM

Kindersang tells the story of Lotte’s journey, from Germany to the UK before the outbreak of the Second World War. Her painful separation from her parents, her disorientation on arriving in the UK as a young German girl and her fragile hopes for the future are beautifully revealed through music and words, which premiered in London last year.

Heinrich Biber’s violin solo, ‘The Protecting Angel’, Bach’s poignant cantata ‘Ich Habe Genug’ and Joseph Pinkhof’s ‘Parpar: Butterfly’, written in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp complete this thought-provoking and poignant programme.

“Kindersang demands and deserves further performances so that its message can reach out and touch as many listeners as possible.”- Musical Times, London.

Kinderang is presented with support from Culture Ireland and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

This is a free event. Tickets are available to book on the following link from March 6th
