Kindertransport Memory Quilt Square

Quilt 2, Square 12

Artist:  Gertrude Baron

I was born in Austria in 1925.  If it were not for the Kindertransport I would not have survived the war. My entire family was killed with the exception of my brother who spent five years in camps.

I came to the United States after the war having already been married in London.  I thank God everyday for the chance to have led a healthy, happy and productive life and for the birth of my only child, a daughter.
